Aphrodite

Here's one I thought about posting for awhile now, Aphrodite, the greek goddess of love and beauty, who is also calm and friendly.  Her appearance here is based off the Disney Movie Hercules, and like Calla, she wields Life Bringer.  I gave her Leixia's fighting style because I thought it fit best with this immortal being, as the critical edge produces flower petals, which could be interpreted to symbolize Love.  She is also a quick attacker in the game as well.  Aphrodite plays a major role in the backstory of Calla's sword Life Bringer, which I leave to you viewers to find out yourself .

About this Character:

Name:  Aphrodite

Age:  Was born Eons ago.

Bio:  Aphrodite is best known as being the Greek Goddess of Love and Beauty.  Some theorized she is the daughter of Zeus and Dione, whilst others believe she was born from the severed genitals of Ouranos when Kronos slew him.  She is also the deity that inhabits the living greatsword Life Bringer.

A few millennia ago, she attended the birth of Zeus and Hera's newborn son Hercules, who was later kidnapped by Hades' minions and turned mortal.  When a teenaged Hercules was reunited with the his parents, he asked for her on numerous occasions while in his school years at Prometheus Academy.  A few years later, she, along with the other was defeated and imprisoned by Hades and the Titans, but was later freed by Hercules.

Centuries went by, and Aphrodite continued her godly routines with mortals, but that all changed one day just before the turn of the 17th Century.  Nightmare, the being embodying the cursed sword Soul Edge, made a sneak attack on Mt. Olympus, and despite the fact that the gods are immortal, he nullified this trait and ended up killing nearly all the gods and draining their powers, Zeus was among the victims.  Only three [known] gods managed to survive the ordeal:  Ares, Hera, and Aphrodite herself; Persephone wasn't present at the time of the attack, but it is unknown if she was one of Nightmare's victims.  The three surviving gods agreed to part ways, that way, Nightmare wouldn't be able to track them down altogether, this was the last time Aphrodite remembered seeing the other two gods.

Aphrodite eventually met the spirit of the holy sword Soul Calibur and made a deal with her to help avenge the fallen gods, but she would later regret it as the traumatizing effect left her with a crippled will and she was consumed by Soul Calibur's influence.  She remained trapped in the void, and her powers were manipulated by Soul Calibur for the years to come.  But in 1607, her luck made a turn for the better...

Shortly after Patrokolos Alexander succumbed to Soul Calibur's influence, and later defeating it, Aphrodite took this as an opportunity to escape Elysium's control on her since the spirit was crippled from the previous incident, after a long battle, Aphrodite defeated Elysium and successfully escaped her clutches, but also acquired unique, naturakinetic powers in the process.

After her escape, she made a moral decision to help against any conflict involving a evil entity (such as Nightmare), but in an indirect, semi-stealth-like state:  As a greatsword with a life force just like Soul Calibur and Soul Edge.  She transformed herself into the weapon with the matching color of her newly acquired powers, going by the alias of Life Bringer, and was found and acquired by the angelic warrior known as Calla not long afterward.

Only time can tell for her now...

Appearance:  When she is not in the form of Calla's sword Life Bringer, she takes the form of a slender, beautiful woman of young age with pink skin and very long, blonde hair reaching down to her legs.  She wears slight makeup consisting of deep purple eyeliner. She has blue eyes and long eyelashes standing out from the corners of her eyes.  Her clothing consists of a purple, single-strapped dress, fashioned in the style of the times of Ancient Greece; it consists a heart-shaped brooch on the strap, and a skirt reaching down to her feet with a slit cut at the front just after reaching her thighs.  She also wears a pair of golden high heels to match her hair color as well as two ankle bracelets in the same color.  Since she is a goddess, she gives off a pink luminescence.

Personality:  The goddess of love is very friendly, calm, and benevolent, but she can also get annoyed at times.  When in battle, she tends to be determined, strategic, and optimistic.  Along with the usual duties she had as an Olympian goddess, She also wishes to make the right, kind-hearted decisions in helping people with any potential dangers.  She despises evil beings, especially misanthropes.

Alignment:  Neutral/Chaotic Good

Powers:  Since she is a Greek goddess, Aphrodite has several powers and traits that are essential to the Olympian Gods.  She also has some unique powers which she acquired after escaping Soul Calibur's influence.

• Immortality:  Like any Greek god, Aphrodite is unable to be killed (orthodoxly at the least), and does not age.
• Superhuman Strength:  With this, she can move or even lift objects normal humans cannot.
  
• Omnipresence:  Aphrodite is capable of being in two places at once, but after the Nightmare incident, she uses this very rarely now.
• Love and Beauty:  As the goddess of love and beauty, she is able to create love amongst normal human beings, she is also able to fire projectiles of this power with corresponding effects.
• Naturakinesis (Life Powers):  A power she acquired after escaping Soul Calibur's manipulation, Aphrodite is able to manipulate animate plant and animal life, as well as the ability to fire green fireboats that have very susceptible effects on enemies.  Can be used in weapon form as well.
• Healing:  Another ability acquired from escaping Soul Calibur, she is capable of healing any friends or even the wielder of her if she is in either her weapon or true forms.
• Cyrokinesis and Frigokinesis (Ice Powers):  This power was a bit of  side effect from being exploited by Soul Calibur over the years.  When in her form of a greatsword, Aphrodite can expel walls of ice as some of Life Bringer's more powerful attacks.
• Aphrodite can also create weapons in the same design as when she is in the form of a greatsword, she usually prefers them in the form of a regular sword, a greatsword, or an iai sword.
